Effective October 23, 2024, the Valley Township Board of Supervisors and Municipal Authority have agreed to transfer all assets of the Valley Township Municipal Authority to the Danville Municipal Authority. In return, Danville Authority will assume all Valley Authority debts and obligations, including providing water and sewer services to Valley Authority customers.

- Valley Authority has no full-time employees, only part-time staff.
- It makes payments on a $2 million loan related to purchase of water from and transferring sewage to the Danville system.
- Rising expenses (loan payments, staff costs, service fees, and maintenance) have led to recent rate increases for Valley residents, which are higher than rates for Danville Authority customers.
- Post-Transfer Changes:
- Danville Authority will serve Valley Authority customers.
- Customers will pay the same rates as existing Danville Authority customers, likely resulting in lower bills.
